Closing seams positioned very closely to the fabric edge are in great demand when processing leather in the production of car upholstery. During the sewing process the fabric edges are simultaneously equalized by trim-ming in order to guarantee equal seam margins and congruent edges. The medium-duty lock-stitch machines 767-VF with robust edge trimmer offer best conditions for this working method. In order to counteract the frequent bobbin change when processing large-sized workpieces the 767-VF-573 is equipped with an over-sized hook the bobbin thread capacity of which has been in-creased by 70%. The subclass 767-VF-373 is equipped with a large hook. In all other respects it corresponds to class 767-VF-573.
